Hi, I'm Andrew.
I'm an author, speaker and ex-advertising creative. In my 20s, I was an anxious, overthinking copywriter who hated presenting and public speaking.
Fast forward a few years, I reached the semi-final of a national stand-up comedy competition and became the go-to creative for big pitches. I went on to write 'The Overthinker's Guide to Life' and create Overthinkers Anonymous. I love giving talks, as well as running workshops, lunch & learns, and breakout sessions.
Previous clients include media giants like Sony Pictures and Havas. I've also delivered sessions for all kinds of other organisations, including Ford, the NHS, Viatris, Deloitte, charities like WaterAid and Save the Children, and a range of marketing, design and insight agencies.
Hi, I'm Andrew, and I'm an overthinker. Well, a recovering one.
Signature talks
As the founder of Overthinkers Anonymous, I focus on helping people make peace with their busy minds and create things in their work and lives they didn't think were possible.
My signature talk is The Overthinking Advantage.
The core insight is that overthinking is wasted creative energy. We spend so much time using our thinking and imagination against ourselves. I show you how to turn your mind from a problem maker into a possibility creator.
Other talks include LOL Goals™ - on the power of creating goals that are so scary / exciting they make you laugh out loud.
I also love talking about creative confidence, professional identity, storytelling, and midlife career reinvention in the age of AI.

"Andrew really strives to make everything he does both entertaining and useful.
The fact that he has an agency background makes him ideal for this kind of work, plus his experience as a stand up comedian was an unexpected bonus - he definitely knows how to read an audience!"

"Andrew delivered a great sesssion to my team, giving each of us insight into the behaviours that often trip us up. Why I created OA
Hi, I'm Andrew and I'm an overthinker. Well, a recovering one.
For many years I was an award-winning advertising copywriter and creative leader.
On the surface, everything was rosy.
But underneath, I was stressed. My mind was always busy. My heart wasn't in it. I was often awake at 3am with racing thoughts. It got to the point where I was running on fumes.
I knew something had to change, but I couldn't see a way out. I was stuck.
Eventually, I found the courage to speak to someone. I hired a coach, learned to make peace with my busy mind and went on to reinvent my career and life.
I created Overthinkers Anonymous (OA) because I want to help as many people as possible find freedom from the noise. I added 'Anonymous' to the name because many people suffer in secret. By day, you wear your professional mask. But at night, it's a different story. It's time to change all that.
For me, this isn't about fixing people. It's about unlearning the mental habits and cultural norms that keep us stuck - and creating a new way of being that's wiser, lighter and more human.
